Fragrance can be a personal preference and an ordinary sensory anchor. It is not needed to meditate.
Choose by preference
Start with a scent you already enjoy and use the product according to its label. Avoid treating a fragrance note as a guaranteed effect. Different people respond differently, and an unscented room is a complete option.
Prepare before practising
Set up the space before you sit. Do not handle a burning candle during a guided practice. Extinguish flames before closing your eyes, lying down or becoming drowsy. Follow product care and ventilation instructions.
Notice rather than chase
If a mild familiar scent is present, notice it briefly, then return to another ordinary sense if the scent fades. There is no need to inhale deeply, add more fragrance or keep the scent noticeable for the whole recording.
Keep shopping separate
A completed lesson may show optional items from the current Mahonie catalogue. These are shopping suggestions, not required equipment or claims about sleep. Choose a product only if it fits your own preference and space.
